About
the Run
The 10th annual Pumpkins In the Park 5K was a spooktacular event for the whole family! Participants enjoyed pumpkin decorating, a children's
costume parade, an adult costume contest, and live music.
Race Charity
The Pumpkins in the Park 5K benefits the Parkways Foundation. The foundation works to raise needed funds for growth and enhancement of recreational programs in city neighborhoods. Click here to learn more.

Entry Limit
The 5K is limited
to a maximum of 2500 entrants and the kids race is limited
to a maximum of 500 entrants. Registration for the events will close once the limit has been reached.

Entry Fees:
- 5K: $30 before 10/12/09; $35 race week 10/12/09 - 10/17/09 (if
available)
- Kids Spooky Sprints: $10
- In-Store and On-Site registration are cash or check only
- All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable

Shirt and Goody Bag
Every 5K participant will receive a technical shirt and goody bag.
Timing
The Pumpkins In the Park 5K is timed using transponder (chip) technology, providing
each participant with an accurate time from the start to the finish lines.
Post Race Party
Stay after the race for treats from our sponsors, a costume contest, live music and beer (for participants age 21 and over).

Kids Spooky Sprints and Activities
There will be varying distances for children ages 12 and under at the Spooky
Sprints. Each child that participates will receive a t-shirt. The Kids
Spooky Sprints are limited to a maximum of 500 entrants.
Kids activities include: trick-or-treating at sponsor booths, costume parade, face painting, pumpkin decorating and a balloon artist. |

The 5K course runs through beautiful Lincoln Park.

Transportation and Parking
Help us reduce our carbon footprint! Fleet Feet Sports highly recommends carpooling, using public transportation, or riding your bicycle to the event.
To determine the best route to travel via public transportation, please visit the CTA's trip planner (http://tripsweb.rtachicago.com/ ).
Bicycle parking will be available at the race site.
Limited street parking may be available. Paid parking is available
at the Chicago Historical Society lot, (Clark and LaSalle, with the
entrance on Stockton Drive ) or in the Lincoln Park Zoo Lot (on
Cannon Drive, just south of Fullerton) on a first come, first serve
basis.

Awards
The Top Three Overall Male and Female finishers will receive
awards. The costume contest winners will also be presented
with awards.
Results
Results will be posted on www.FleetFeetChicago.com and www.MyChicagoAthlete.com the
day after the race.

Weather Policy
The Pumpkins In the Park 5K will take place rain or shine. If cancellation of the event is warranted due to dangerous weather conditions, announcements will be made race day at the race site. The event will not be canceled in advance. All decisions regarding cancellation will be made on site, race day.
