About the Run
The Fleet Feet Sports Soldier Field 10 Mile presented by adidas starts on the east lawn outside of Soldier Field, runs south and returns to Soldier Field with a spectacular finish on the 50-Yard line.

The 2 Mile Walk (non-competitive) takes place on the grounds surrounding Soldier Field. The Kids Sprint (100 yard dash, ages 5 - 12) takes place on Soldier Field. Please note, parents and guardians are not allowed on the field but have the opportunity to watch the sprint from a special parents' section inside the stadium.

Soldier Field 10 Mile Training Program
A great way to prepare for the Fleet Feet Sports Soldier Field 10 Mile presented by adidas! $40 of the $65 program fee is donated to the two race charities. The Program Kick-Off and Informational Meeting is Sunday, March 9th at 9:30am at Fleet Feet Sports - Piper's Alley, 1620 N. Wells St., Chicago. Click here to learn more.

The proceeds from the Soldier Field 10 presented by adidas will benefit the Veteran's Assistance Commission of Cook County and the American Cancer Society.

Entry Limit
The 10 Mile Race is limited to a maximum of 7500 entrants and has reached capacity. The Kids Sprint is limited to a maximum of 200 entrants and has reached capacity. Registration for these events is now closed.

  • 10 Mile Race: $50 (race day registration is not available)
  • 2 Mile Walk: $15 before 5/24/08; $20 on race day
  • Kids Sprint: $10 (race day registration is not available)
  • All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable

Kids Sprint
The Kids Sprint (100 yard dash, ages 5 - 12) takes place on Soldier Field creating childhood memories that will last a lifetime. A parent or guardian must accompany each child during assembly and be present throughout the event. Please note, parents and guardians are not allowed on the field but have the opportunity to watch the sprint from a special parents' section inside the stadium.

Shirt and Goody Bag
Each participant will receive an official event shirt and goody bag. 10 Mile Run and 2 Mile Walk participants will receive an adidas ClimaCool Tech Tee. Kids Sprint participants will receive an adidas t-shirt.

Timing
The 10 Mile Run is timed with ChampionChip technology. ChampionChips will be distributed during Packet Pick-Up and must be returned upon finishing or a $30 replacement fee will apply.

 
Post Race Festival
Stay after the race for the Dominick's 10 Mile Tailgate in the concourse of Soldier Field where there will be great food, interactive sponsor booths to visit and music.
 

Course
The 2008 event features an updated and improved course. Water and Gatorade Endurance Formula will be provided at hydration stations along the course. Course map coming soon.

Please note, the finisher entrance to Soldier Field closes promptly at 10am (approximately 15 minute mile pace), all participants must complete the course within this time frame.

Course Safety
To ensure everyone's safe enjoyment of these events, please adhere to the following: no dogs, bicycles, roller skates or unauthorized wheeled vehicles will be permitted on the 10 mile course. Baby strollers and joggers are permitted in the 2 Mile Walk but must start after the majority of participants have crossed the start line.

Help us reduce our carbon footprint! Fleet Feet Sports highly recommends carpooling, using public transportation, or riding your bicycle to the event.

Bicycle parking will be available at the race site.

 

Awards
Awards will be given to the top 3 men overall and the top 3 women overall. There will also be awards for the top 3 male and female age group winners in 5 year increments. Overall winners are not included in age group award categories.

Age group divisions are as follows: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over.
