Course

hydration stations along the course.
Please note, the finisher entrance to Soldier Field closes promptly
at 10:10am (approximately 15 minute mile pace). All participants
must complete the course within this time frame.
Course Safety
To ensure everyone's safe enjoyment of these events, please adhere to the following:
no dogs, bicycles, roller skates or unauthorized wheeled vehicles will be permitted
on the 10 mile course. Baby strollers and joggers are permitted in the 2 Mile
Walk but must begin at the back of the start area, after the majority of participants have crossed the start
line.
NEW! Start Line Corrals
The 2009 10 Mile will feature a two-corral start. The first corral (Corral A) is for participants who run 9:00 mile pace or faster and submit proof of past performance (see details below). The second corral (Corral B) is an open start for all paces. Both corrals will have pace per mile markers to assist participants in positioning themselves.
The intent of the two-corral start system is to ensure a positive race experience and provide participants in both Corral A and Corral B the same opportunity for a quick, smooth and safe start and sufficient room to run along the course.
As a reminder, your official time does not begin until you cross the start line. The timing system provides each participant with an accurate time from the start to finish lines.
