Office Manager/Accounting Assistant

Fleet Feet Sports is seeking to fill our newly created Office Manager/Accounting Assistant position. This is a full time salaried opportunity with a growing organization in a fun and dynamic environment. The functions of this new position will be split between office and facilities administration and accounting.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Effective coordination and management of our business office operations and processes.
• Assist Controller with effective management of facilities and operations issues.
• Purchase office and facilities supplies as needed, maintaining appropriate levels.
• Assist with the timely processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Assist with the organization and maintenance of accounting and administrative files.
• Data input and maintenance of various Excel worksheets on an accurate and timely basis.
• Data input and maintenance of our retail customer database as needed.
• Participation in physical inventory counts as needed.
• Assist the Controller with the month and year end accounting close tasks.
• Assist the Controller or other company Directors with miscellaneous projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience as an office manager, accounting clerk, bookkeeper or accountant.
• Prior experience preparing journal entries and G/L account reconciliations is a plus.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications and computerized accounting systems.
• Ability to coordinate and manage the operations of a small company business office.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with the operation of common office equipment.
• Dependable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• The desire and ability to work and grow with our organization on a long-term basis.

This new and evolving position will work closely with and report to the company Controller and offers the successful candidate opportunity for growth as our organization continues to expand. Starting salary for the position is $25,000 - $32,000 based on skill set and experience.
