The American Diabetes Association is Fleet Feet Sports – Chicago’s Charity of the Month for August.
The American Diabetes Association will be participating in the 40th Anniversary of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 8, 2017 as a charity team, Team Diabetes. This will be their seventh year as an official charity, and will once again be running to raise funds for a life free of diabetes and all its burdens.
For more than 75 years, millions of Americans with diabetes have relied on the American Diabetes Association to help them fight discrimination, prevent diabetes and better manage their diabetes—all the while helping to fuel the vital research that produces breakthrough treatments and, one day, cures.
When you join Team Diabetes, the fundraising support will help the American Diabetes Association to stand beside the 29 million people living with diabetes—today and long into the future. Their signature fundraising events — Tour de Cure, Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes — give you the opportunity to not only raise money for the Association and its important work but to also participate in a fun activity.
The American Diabetes Association also has other fundraising events you can participate in as well, such as their Tour de Cure ride, Step Out Walks to Stop Diabetes, and their annual gala, the Father of the Year Awards.
