The AIDS Foundation of Chicago is Fleet Feet Sports-Chicago Charity of the Month for October.
The AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) mobilizes communities to create equity and justice for people living with and vulnerable to HIV and related chronic diseases. Through community fundraising programs like TEAM TO END AIDS (T2) and AIDS Run & Walk Chicago, AFC brings awareness and vital funds to the estimated 27,000 people in the Chicagoland area living with HIV.
TEAM TO END AIDS (T2) is the endurance training charity program benefiting the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC). T2 has trained thousands of participants for Half Marathons, Marathons and Triathlons, raising $10 million for AFC and HIV/AIDS-related community charities. T2 participants fundraise on behalf of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and receive Fitness Formula Club (FFC) membership, coach-led training, race gear, race entry, personal fundraising webpage, private social media groups, pre-race dinner, VIP race day experience and pride for supporting the HIV/AIDS community.
AIDS Run & Walk Chicago is the AIDS Foundation of Chicago’s grassroots fundraising 10K run and 5K run/walk event, where people from all walks of life change the story of HIV by raising awareness and funds to support those living with HIV.
