The text used in the graphics of the apparel pay homage to the typeface used on promotional materials when the Chicago Marathon was simply known as the Mayor Daley Marathon in 1977.

The performance apparel uses Nike's best-of-class materials in the Miler Tank and Miler Tee, which use sweat-wicking fabric, mesh panels, and flat seams. The Sphere Element Top Crew and Half Zip uses a grid-like pattern which helps trap your body's natural heat and allow sweat to escape so you stay comfortable in cool conditions.

The hooded sweatshirt takes it back to 1977 when Nike’s third employee and Athletics West track club founder Geoff Hollister designed a way for his elite runners to cope: a sturdy sweatshirt with a multi-panel hood to keep out the chill. The AW77 Hoodie features soft French terry fabric for lightweight comfort.

The lifestyle cotton tees will come in three designs. The first features a re-imagined design of the original Chicago Marathon logo featured an octagonal design made up of the traditional Nike Swoosh. The second uses the text "There Is No Finish Line" draped over a graphic image of the Chicago downtown. The last uses an enlarged graphic of the Helvetica-style logo mentioned above.

Take a look at the collection below. We will continue to update this article as more images trickle in.
