Our Very Own Kyle Larson Was the First American Finisher at the Paris Marathon Last Weekend

Desi Linden might have stole the show this week when she became the first American woman to win the Boston Marathon since 1985, but we’d also like to shine a light on another stellar performance by one of our very own.

Some of you may know him as the Chicago Athlete Magazine’s Athlete of the Year, others may know him as our Racing Team coach, but here at Fleet Feet Sports Chicago, we know Kyle Larson as our excellent footwear buyer who is responsible for bringing in innovative running shoes from the industry into the Chicago running community such as the coveted Nike ZoomX Vaporfly 4%.

Last weekend Kyle went to Paris to run the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris and came back with a lot more than he had hoped. Here’s a quick checklist of everything he accomplished:

1. He ran a personal best in the marathon distance with a time of 2:27:53. ⏱✔️

2. He placed in the top 40 overall. ?✔️

3. He was the first American finisher in the entire race. ??✔️

4. He got engaged to his partner, Rachael in paris at the love-lock bridge. ?✔️

Now that Kyle is back and ordering more shoes right in time for peak running season in Chicago, please join us in congratulating him as this is no basic feat.
