Fleet Feet Sports is Collecting Shoes for Houston to Help Those Affected By Hurricane Harvey
WHAT HAPPENED?
The city of Houston, Texas and areas of southeastern Texas have experienced unprecedented flooding and damage from Hurricane Harvey, which made landfall as a Category 4 storm on the state’s Gulf Coast on Friday, August 25. The loss of property and sheer devastation that several hundred thousand people are experiencing is catastrophic — and Fleet Feet Sports wants your help in bringing much-needed aid to them.
HOW CAN I HELP?
Glad you asked. The Fleet Feet Sports Franchise Advisory Council is working with the Fleet Feet Sports Houston team to make sure our shoes go directly to those in need. We're calling on our Fleet Feet Sports community around the country to help us collect new or gently-used shoes, new pairs of socks, and new apparel to donate to victims of the storm. To streamline organizational efforts, please do the following prior to dropping off your donation:
- Tie the shoes in pairs with their laces
- Mark on the back heels the gender and size of the shoes — for example: M12 (Men's Size 12), W9 (Women's Size 9)
- Pair socks together
