The New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v8 just landed in stores with a sleek look, soft feel, and ready to put in the miles. At first glance, it looks pretty similar to last year’s version, but this update is all about the way it feels!
Take a closer look, and on the lateral side of the heel you’ll notice that the midsole has laser-perforations that allow the foam to compression ever-so-slightly more than in the past making for a softer feel. On the outsole, you’ll see more pronounced flex grooves for a smoother ride, and a pressure map that highlights the Data-to-Design innovations that were used to develop this shoe. Data-to-Design takes runner data from thousands of runners to find the ideal cushioning and flex pattern for this shoe.
Moving up the shoe, you’ll see that the foam midsole wraps around the edge of the foot for added structure and a better overall fit. The external heel counter ensures your foot is properly supported upon landing, while the engineered mesh upper offers stretch and structure with a midfoot wrap around the arch for a luxurious fit for the whole foot.
Currently available in the black/white colorway only for both men & women, with more colors launching January 1st. The 1080v8 is available at all Fleet Feet Sports – Chicagoland locations.
