About the Run
A great event for the whole family! The 5K and 10K is open to women only and there is also a kids race at 9am that the little ones can do as well. The course runs around beautiful Montrose Harbor and ends at an awesome post-race festival that will include great food, massages and the latest and greatest in Nike products.

Race Charity

La Rabida Children's Hospital provides comprehensive care for children who have lifelong medical conditions and developmental disabilities. La Rabida also provides the most extensive hospital-based program for neglected and abused children in Illinois. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Jackson Park, La Rabida has been caring for children for over 100 years.

Race Shirt & Goody Bag
The first 1,800 registrants receive a Nike DRI-FIT singlet. Race participants will also recieve a goody bag.

Keep in mind that the shirts are made of technical fiber and will not shrink. Sample shirts in all sizes will be available for try-on at both Fleet Feet Sports locations in April if you are unsure of your size.

No switching of sizes or colors will be possible. Quantities and sizes of shirts are fixed – please select carefully

You have two options to choose from for your race shirt. Both options are shown:

Timing
The Womens 5K and 10K runs will be timed with ChampionChip technology this year. Timing chips will be given out when you pick your packet up in-store or on race day. Timing chips must be returned immediately upon your finish of the race.

Course
A single 5k loop and a 2 loop 10k course on Chicago's beautiful lakefront.

Parking
There is ample free parking in the lot across from the start of the race. Participants are encouraged to arrive no later than 7:30am as Montrose Ave. will be closed east of Lake Shore Drive for the start of the race.

Fleet Feet Sports & Women
Fleet Feet Sports Chicago is co-owned by Lisa Zimmer and is committed to women in the running and fitness community. Fleet Feet Sports is dedicated to women in athletics, helping women find answers to health and fitness questions and helping build healthy and strong lifestyles. Fleet Feet Sports hosts a women's only fun run that departs the store at 6:30pm every Tuesday from Piper's Alley and every Wednesday from Lincoln Square.

Co-Ed Kids Race
Distances:

2 to 4 years old – 50 yards
5 to 7 years old – Quarter Mile
8 to 10 years old – Half Mile
11 to 14 years old – 1 Mile

Each participant will receive a cotton t-shirt and a finisher award.

Participation and Awards
Nike Awards will be given to:

Top three overall finishers
Top three winners in each age group
Fastest combined Mother & Daughter team
Fastest combined Sister Team.
Overall winners (1st – 3rd in both the 5K & 10K and the winning M/D and S/S team in the 5K & 10K ) are not included in other award categories.

Awards presentation to begin at approximately 9:30.
