Location and Course
A single 5K loop and a 2 loop 10K course on Chicago's beautiful lake front. Montrose Harbor, 4400 Lake Shore Drive has ample free parking with a beautiful location for the start, finish and festival. Participants are encouraged to arrive no later then 7:30am as Montrose will be closed east of Lake Shore Drive for the start of the race.

Parking is available in Piper's Alley for 1 hour free with Fleet Feet validation.

Timing
For accuracy and expediency both the 5K and the 10K race will be timed with state-of-the-art "Champion Chip" technology. Every participant's net time will be recorded with the aid of a computer chip attached to each runner's/walker's shoe. The chip will send signals to mats that are laid out at the start and finish of the course, accurately capturing each racer's performance. Any participant that does not return the chip will be charged $30.

Timing Chips are given out only on race day and must be returned immediately upon your finish of the race.

Participants must wear timing chip to be timed in the race.

T-Shirt and Goodie Bag
The first 2,000 registrants receive a Nike dry-fit T-shirt. All race participants will receive a goodie bag!

Benefactor - "La Rabida Children's Hospital"

La Rabida Children's Hospital - La Rabida Children's Hospital provides comprehensive care for children who have livelong medical conditions and developmental disabilities. La Rabida also provides the most extensive hospital-based program for neglected and abused children in Illinois. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Jackson Park, La Rabida has been caring for children for over 100 years.

Fleet Feet Sports & Women
Fleet Feet Sports Chicago is co-owned by Lisa Zimmer and is committed to women in the running and fitness community. Fleet Feet Sports is dedicated to women in athletics, helping women find answers to health and fitness questions and helping build healthy strong lifestyles. Fleet Feet Sports hosts a women's only fun run that departs the store at 6:30pm on Tuesday's from Piper's Alley and on Wednesday's from Lincoln Square.

Kids Race 2 to 4 Years - 50 Yards, 5 to 6 Years - Quarter Mile

7 to 10 Years - Half Mile, 11 to14 Years - 1 Mile. Each participant will receive a finisher award.
