NEW in 2012:
Whether you run, walk, or just stand and cheer, you're invited to make spirits bright for youngsters in need by making a donation or contributing a new toy to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. More than $2,000 was raised and an equal amount of toys were donated at last year's race.
The Donner Dash is designed for children ages 2 to 12 years, and takes place on a loop course on the running path with the start and finish in the heart of the festivities. The race will be staged in the following heats: 2-4 years - 50 yards 5-6 years - 1/4 mile 7-12 years - 1/2 mile.
